Lamb Champs Boland
On 24 September 2025, 75 farmers from across the region will gather at Hoër Landbouskool Boland in Paarl to compete in the fourth qualifying round of Lamb Champs 2025.
What is Lamb Champs?
Lamb Champs is South Africa’s only national competition that crowns the tastiest lamb in the country. Farmers compete head-to-head with their finest lambs, judged by a panel on taste, texture, and presentation. More than a competition, it connects family farmers with consumers, showcases the diversity of South Africa’s lamb breeds, and celebrates the heritage of family farming.

- This is the first Lamb Champs in the Western Cape – a historic moment for the region.

- Media will have access to farmer stories, live tastings, interviews, and a unique look at South African agriculture in action.
- Winners from Boland will qualify for the national finals at NAMPO Alfa in October.

Op 24 September 2025 sal 75 boere by Hoër Landbouskool Boland in Paarl saamkom om in die vierde kwalifiserende ronde van Lamb Champs 2025 mee te ding.
Wat is Lamb Champs?
Lamb Champs is Suid-Afrika se enigste nasionale kompetisie wat die lekkerste lam in die land bekroon. Boere ding kop-aan-kop mee met hul beste lammers, wat deur ’n paneel op smaak, tekstuur en aanbieding beoordeel word. Meer as net ’n kompetisie, verbind dit familieboere met verbruikers, wys die diversiteit van Suid-Afrika se lamsrasse uit, en vier die erfenis van familieboerdery.
Hoekom bywoon?
- Dit is die eerste Lamb Champs in die Wes-Kaap – ’n historiese mylpaal vir die streek.
- 75 boere ding mee.
- Media kry toegang tot boere se stories, regstreekse proegeleenthede, onderhoude en ’n unieke blik op Suid-Afrikaanse landbou in aksie.
- Wenners van die Boland sal kwalifiseer vir die nasionale finaal by NAMPO Alfa in Oktober.
